Chiropractic

Chiropractic care aims to restore proper movement and function to joints of the body, in particular the spine. The spine houses the spinal cord which carries information from the brain controlling every cell and organ in our body. When our joints stop moving properly this can cause stiffness and pain. By delivering gentle and specific adjustments to these joints we can restore proper function and help alleviate painful symptoms. Our Chiropractor is registered with the GCC.

Rehab Exercise

Along with restoring the proper motion to specific joints with Chiropractic adjustments, we must improve general mobility and strength to help you achieve long-term results. Our Chiropractor will tailor exercise recommendations to you based on the findings from your initial consultation and progress made throughout your course of care.

Posture Analysis

We use a digital app to take specific pictures of your posture at your initial consultation and at progress checks throughout your course of care. Inbuilt software allows us to evaluate your posture and determine where there may be imbalances and uneven weight bearing. We can use this information alongside other results from your initial consultation to provide corrective exercise recommendations.

A thorough and detailed consultation to discuss your areas of concern and the outcomes you would like to achieve. Includes posture analysis, and your report of findings.

Report Of Findings

During this appointment, our Chiropractor will discuss their findings from your initial consultation. They will explain how they can help along with personalised care recommendations. If you decide to start care, you can receive your first Chiropractic adjustment during this visit. This will be at an additional cost which is outlined below.

Thrilled to have had this place open here in Porty! Josh does a great job and is able to accommodate a no-torque approach by using the drop table and activator instead of any twisting. I’ve had good results and get monthly maintenance appointments for ongoing support. Highly recommend.

I came to Portobello Chiropractic after 7 years of different physiotherapists and doctor’s appointments with no improvement. Within weeks with Josh and Amber I felt more improvement than I ever had. I’ve been going for adjustments for about 3 months now and my lower back pain is pretty much nonexistent, and my whole body feels like it’s working properly for the first time in about 10 years. Didn’t know what to expect as had never been to a chiro, wish I’d done it years ago as it’s not only helped my posture and shoulder pain but has helped with headaches and pulsatile tinnitus! Ive even got my 75 yr old Dad adjusted with Josh and he’s moving so much easier after 2 hip replacements!
